2025 HALS Challenge
Dr. Jung-Hwa Kim, Assistant Professor at the UNLV School of Architecture, conducted archival research and prepared the historical description. Jacel Zeres Avila, ASLA, and Adam King, a student at the UNLV School of Architecture, assisted Dr. Kim with archival research and description, took photographs, and produced maps. Amanda Rookey, PLA, ASLA, Nevada HALS Liaison, conducted research and produced a plan drawing, while Melinda Gustin, ASLA, Nevada HALS Co-Liaison, conducted additional research. Daniel Moss, Project Coordinator at the City of Reno Utility Services Department, provided historical plan drawings to support the research. The team collectively conducted an on-site survey.
